Cook Children's, located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, hosted Amy Sbihli to teach Level 1 Rigo Concept BSPTS. The organization is developing a scoliosis specific care team with multiple disciplines to create a team approach to care for those who have scoliosis. Ten pediatric therapists from various Cook Children's satellites gathered to learn more about the condition of scoliosis in order to be a valuable team contributor and excellent in Scoliosis Specific Exercise treatment. They learned how to do a physical therapy scoliosis assessment, to calculate risk of progression for accurate treatment care planning, and to use Rigo Concept Classification to create a Rigo Concept PSSE exercise program. This area of Texas, USA has been without adequate medical team access for those who have AIS and other spinal conditions. It was exciting to see the energy and skill that was acquired by these therapists as they aim to fill a gap of excellent scoliosis and kyphosis care in this area of the USA.
