What is the difference between Group and 1-on-1 treatments?
The BSPTS-Rigo Concept exercise program is designed specifically for each client. Typically, you will learn your basic and unique exercises 1:1 with a physical therapist. After the basics are learned, together we decide which form of therapy is best for your on-going learning and progression. It is a joint decision to continue training and learning in a 1:1 setting or to transition into a group setting.

The BSPTS-Rigo Concept can also be taught to several clients at one time. Small group treatment is a great way to:
- Meet others who have scoliosis
- Have fun while working hard to reach your fitness goals
- Continue learning best practices
- Progress to new challenges within your current program
- Learn new exercises
- Have a built-in accountability system to your exercise commitment
How long is each visit?
Visit duration is dependent on the treatment plan and type selected during your screen, but at a minimum are 1-hour. Visits when initially learning the BSPTS Concept by Rigo range from 1 to 4 hours in the beginning of your treatment plan. All group visits are 1-hour in duration.
The duration and frequency of the visits depends on what package you purchase. In order to determine that, we offer free screenings to further discuss what is the best treatment plan. Initially, the treatments will be longer and more frequent to improve learning and retention of the concepts and exercises. As you progress through your program the frequency will taper into a consistent pattern (most typically weekly or monthly, depending on the package). We offer 1:1 packages and group packages, which account for some of the frequency differences.

What do I have to do at home?
Home exercise programs are designed specifically for each client. Frequency and duration of exercise is discussed at every visit. Example cases:
- For teens with a high risk of progression it is recommended that exercise be completed 6 days per week for 30 minutes.
- Adults range from 10 minutes daily to every other day 15-30 minutes.
What should I wear?
It is best to comfortable at your sessions. Wear clothes that are easy for you to move in. For temperature control, wear layers that are easy to take on and off. If you tend to feel cold and need to exercise with a t-shirt on, please find a tight-fitting shirt. It will help you and us during your exercise sessions. For evaluation and re-evaluation day, male clients will be asked to be shirtless and females need to wear parallel strap bikini’s or bras. Racer back/Y-backed sports bras are fine for most exercise visits, but they make measurements difficult on evaluation days.
Do I need equipment?
There are a few items that you will need to help you with your exercises at home. Many of them that we use are probably laying around your home. Other things are easily ordered online. The specific equipment that you need is decided while you are exercising in your sessions. If you don’t have what you need at home, links to the recommended brands and quantities will be offered to you during your visits.
What is the cost?
The cost of your program varies upon your current status, risk of progression, length of the program, and type of program chosen. For that reason, we do not list prices online. Our consults are free so you can better understand the program and make the best decision for yourself or your child. During the consults we will review packages and pricing, as well as what is the best recommendation based on your specific goals.
